Hillary Duff And Hubby Expecting First Baby

And in news that truly makes me feel my age . . .

Former teen/tween Disney spawn Hillary Duff gave her fans some big news recently: she and her husband, Pittsburgh Penguins center Mike Comrie, are expecting their first baby.

The former "Lizzie McGuire" star hinted that she and her husband would be making a family a priority shortly after she finished upcoming music in the studio. The pair married in 2010 in Santa Barbara, CA.

"I can't believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you're having fun!" Duff wrote her fans on her website. "We also want to share the exciting news that…… BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives. Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years!"

Duff's marriage was her first after a few somewhat high-profile relationships. Once upon a time in 2001, she was attached to teen star Aaron Carter, who then supposedly dumped her for fellow little House of Mouse monster Lindsay Lohan, who then supposedly dumped him and sent him crawling back to Duff.

From 2004 to 2006, she dated Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. She started seeing Comrie in 2007.

Well, here's to a child star that didn't go bat-crap crazy, like Lohan or former "Full House" star Jodie Sweetin. It's a hard thing to make it out of child stardom will all your marbles intact, but it's a remarkable thing when they make it to adulthood and just do normal adult things with their lives.

Still . . . a former tween star is about to have a kid. Something about that just ain't sitting quite right yet with how old I know I am versus how old I now feel.
